Objective
Yogyakarta (also Jogjakarta or Jogja) is the capital city of Special Region of Yogyakarta in Indonesia. The city is regarded as an important center for classical Javanese fine arts and culture such as batik textiles, visual arts, and wayang puppetry. The goal is to create a visual identity for the city and develop a marketing campaign to attract tourists. Each logo represents different attractions of the city, every other medium was designed based on the logo shape and color scheme. The marketing campaign involved setting up an art installation in big cities in the world to promote and attract tourists to visit Wayang Jogja Carnival Night - the city’s annual event where the re-branding campaign will launch.
